Well here we are again! Five years after I took the plunge to do a 21 day challenge that changed my life and my career, I did it again. This time with even better results.

In June of 2012, after feeling tired and at a point where I was at a plateau with my weight, I knew I had to do something different. My hormones seemed to be out of whack as I was breaking out and I was in my 30's! I came upon this reset program, where the program was based on eating whole food accompanied by a few supplements. Everything was natural - no funny ingredients. The supplements were aloe, turmeric, gentle colon cleanse, chlorella, etc. The interesting thing was that the program wanted me to eat vegan for 2 weeks. As a meat eater my whole life, this was a HUGE step for me. I actually thought I was going to starve most of the time because I thought... there is no way that eating vegan for two weeks will satisfy me!

Well, I was totally wrong. Not only did I learn a whole new way of eating; I learned to appreciate foods, mindset, surroundings, and other methods for healing and nourishing myself that I had never considered previously. At the end of the 21 days I had lost 7 lbs., reduced my LDL cholesterol from 103 to 74, and lowered my triglycerides from 114 to 89!! And I did this all without any strenuous exercise!!! I was so amazed by this transformation because the results were not just external. Most of the results were internal. My mind became less foggy, my cravings went away, my digestion improved, my sleep was more sound, I had more energy, and I felt happier. I didn't think that food could do this for me and from that day forward my whole outlook on healing through food changed.

Since then I have changed the way I eat and approach food, my mental health, and my overall wellness. About a month ago, there was a significant expansion in my business and I was pretty stressed out. I thought... why not do what you did five years ago. You know it works. You know you will feel better. So, what do you have to lose? I determined.. nothing. I was going to do it again. This time with all my new knowledge and practice. Will I get the same results? Will it be as difficult as the first time? Or will my newly developed habits over the past five years help me approach this in a new way?

I ordered the program, set a date, and jumped in. I will say that the second time around was a lot easier in that I was used to eating a new way and the foods were not as foreign to me. Therefore, I felt that it was easier and faster to cook the meals; as well as, follow the strict eating schedule. As I began to notice this improvement, I was overwhelmed with amazement that one small change years ago could put me, anyone, into a whole new environment of eating. A whole new way of looking at food, at food for healing, at mental awareness for weight loss and improving the health of the body overall. It really does work. Sure it takes time and practice... but it really does work.

The thing is that people always say to me... "well Gina, you eat so well, I can't do that" - or "of course you can do it, you are so healthy!" - "or I don't eat the things you eat" ... and I laugh at all those statements. I laugh because I was JUST LIKE everyone else once. I like sweets. I like pizza. I like alcohol. I like burgers and fries and candy and cookies and chips and ALL the things that everyone else likes. I mean...these foods were made to be enjoyed - that is how they hook you in!! The thing is that I also enjoyed knowing that I was going to around a long time and healthy for my family. I enjoy getting up in the morning and feeling energized. I enjoy having my pants fit and not having to suck in my gut the whole day. I enjoy feeling sexy and clean and confident. I enjoy having a clear mind and feeling a sense of peace instead of a sense of ongoing stress. I enjoy having my true beauty shine from the inside out, instead of having to put my beauty on each morning before I leave the house.

You see, I am just like everyone else. The only difference is that I made a choice to try something new for 21 days. Just to see what results I would get and how it could change my life and my outlook. Know what? It changed so much more than I ever expected. And I only wish that you can experience the same thing.

Just to know that you faced your fears and tried something new for 21 days out of your whole life. It really is not long at all. The long term gain is SO MUCH more than the short term pain. Just think about who would benefit if you did something like this. Are you being selfish, or are you thinking of others? Because this is not just about you....although when you are going through the program it will feel like it is for you... but no. It is for everyone that you come in contact with - your family, friends, strangers, and the people you have never even met yet. It is for the environment - to help make it a more sustainable planet for the future generations. It is also for all those people that never thought they could. They see you and know what? It gives them one more thought of....'well maybe I can too".

I am here to say... yes you can too. Here are my results for the 2017 Ultimate Reset:

  • Lost 10 lbs.

  • Lowered my LDL cholesterol from 110 to 76

  • Lowered my triglycerides 7 units.

  • Blood sugar went down.

  • Improved my liver and kidney function.

  • Feel clear mentally.

  • Have an easier time breathing each day.

  • Have no allergies or stuff nose.

  • No longer need coffee to energize myself through the day.

  • Lost 3 inches around my waist, 4 inches around my chest, and 2 inches around my hip!

  • Have a renewed sense of accomplishment and confidence that I can do what I put my mind to.

As it was back in 2012, this experience has been amazing. With only one walk a day, daily quiet time, being present when I ate, and a fully whole food diet - alive with nutrients, I was able to make a great step to improving my health and anyone that shared this journey with me.

My wish now is that you take a moment to reflect on yourself, your life, and your impact and just take a look. I promise, you won't regret it.

xoxo

Gina
